Stephen King gave Stephenie Meyer a hard blow on her writings

King compared 2 of the most influential authors and gave his bold comments on the 2 especially on Meyer. What do you think of the comment? Is he fair? What's your say? Violent reactions?

King goes, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good." But King softened the blow, adding, "People are attracted by the stories, by the pace, and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it's very clear that she's writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books."

twilight is stephenie meyer's debut so, of course, it is not perfectly written however stephenie's works are great and i will support her no matter what.

i must say that what stephen king says is true.. but I love the story of twilight, i really do.. as a matter of fact ive read it for a hundred times already..

Yeah, That is kinda harsh. I honestly prefer the love story more than the magic in The Harry Potter books. Of course that doesn't mean much coming out of a girl, but I used to be a big fan of harry potter. Twilight, I honestly, for some reason, can relate more to.

well i hate comparing S.meyer to that (witch) jk rowling... of course naman SATANIC ang hp books no offense but the Church is against it but for Twilight pinopromote pa nga and they love it, the priests even used it in their homily...

and writers have different style of writings.

this is my opinion and well... that's mr.king's opinion...

That's his opinion, but it's like he thinks of himself as a uber good writer. And, Steph wrote a YA book. and King writes adult books. Those two are diff.

what can i say...those three are my favorite writers. stephen king is a very talented writer, there's no doubt about that...as for Jo Rowling...she's a brilliant one...thinking of inventing the HP series twists...its real magic, people..so we can't say she's a witch.. (no offense to the comment before) i love her books. and was impressed by it. i don't see a reason for the church to be against it...ganon naman ang simbahan lahat na lang pinagbabawal. try to read the books first guys...as for stephanie...she's great...really. gagawin bang movie ang saga na yan kung hindi siya magaling?? she writes for this generation...and we can relate to her. don't judge the 3 authors. they are awesome. :)

I think that was harsh.... I aspire to become a writer and well I can understand Stephanie's an amateur. So King's the King of the written world. Doesn't give him the right to go pointing fingers at Meyers.
